| UoS Guild: Guild Closing |

As many of you have probably read and maybe many that have not, the Guild will be closing its doors. Soldir has done a great job. The active members are way down and overall game play time for the rest seems to be very limited, including myself. I want to thank all the members we have had over the 1.5yrs we have been around. I want to thank all the members that have stuck it out with us. We have seen some really great times and experienced some rare times on Windrunner.
Soldir will be passing the guild leadership back to myself. Once this is done, for those that are left, I will remove from the guild. Once that is done, I will 'mothball' the guild. I will not disband the guild, but simply just keep the Guild under my name. The site will stay up for short while and also be 'mothballed' and be archived but will NOT be deleted.
We never know what may happen, what I would like is to those that would like to, is to list your email in the forums. You never know what may happen. We may reform one day in Warcraft or maybe another gamer.
I and Solidr wish you guys the best in your travels.

Well, after further investigation, it appears the site is being attacked by Zombie computers. I really dont feel like going into full blown what they are, but in shory, they are MULTIPLE computers under the control of one or many people attempting a DOS, Hijack, or some type of bruteforce attack.
Why pick our site... I have no earthly idea... I have banned 27 IP addresses ranging country location to Russia, South Korea, Dubai and a few others.
the IP list I am compiling will be sent to the FBI so they can be aware of this zombie network (they may already know).
You all have nothing to worry about, because the site does not have any critical personal info.
To give you all an idea of something you can see from your side... notice the lexa1765 user who is last signed up user. Her date for signup was yesterday. From miday yesterday till day, the site had 50+ new members, I delete them when I can and block the IP's. Ol' lexa1765 was a user today, telling me whoever is doing this is running a SQL injection script with yesterdays date. They most likely figured out the table structure of the SQL DB and are doing insert commands with their own info.... OK, geek mode is off....

It appears that possible Russian hackers have attempted and partialy were successful in hacking the site. To slow them down, I 1st activated the Captcha System (the numbers and letters you have to enter when logging in). That did not work, it appears they were doing a SQL injection into the site database... at that point, it was was war...
Right now, I have disabled the login.. sorry guys... and I have began to track and ban their IP's.... I am also forwarding them to the FBI's website....
If you RUSSIAN F*CKERS CAN READ THIS.... Look way back into your history of computers... and look up LOD (Legions of Doom).... you have F*CKED with the wrong admin... I suggest you power off your sh*t.. cause before to long... I will take control...

Several years have passed since the Burning Legion's defeat at Mount Hyjal and the races of Azeroth have continued to rebuild their once shattered lives. | General News: The Passing of a Special Woman |

This past Saturday early in the morning, the world lost a truly wonderful woman, my mother. It was very unexpected and has taken both family and friends off guard.
Lorreta Ann McCauley, mother, daughter, sister, and wife. Mother to me and my brothers for 41+ years, wife for 44+ years.
She was probably the most Godliest women I have every known and I know she is in a better place. I miss her so much and I know many other people also feel the same.
If you would all be so kinds as to keep us in your prayers, I would appreciate it.

I am looking for those that will take an interest in the website and on a regular basis post news and articles along with anything else you can find that might be of interest to the guild or people that visit the site. I do not mind granting access. The backend system is easy to learn and plus, I am always around to answer question when it comes to the site.
Let me know and don't be afraid to step up and say you want access. I aslo thought about giving you guys a blog section on the site to rant and rave. Let me know.

Since the guild was created for fellowship regardless of all else, then it should stay in business. The wesbite will stay up for as long as the guild has members.
I am going to increase rank abilities to give more power and allow more people to recruite.
For those who like semi-admin access to the website to post news and articles, I will give. I will also provide assistance when I can in the game and on the website.
